Common fixes
ClipForge is currently unsigned. Download only from the published page, compare the SHA-256 fingerprint, then choose “More info” → “Run anyway” if Windows shows an Unknown publisher warning.
Verify the installer →First run needs network access, free disk space, and time for the local model. Retry after checking storage. Local transcription and rendering work offline after setup.
Check your system clock and internet connection. For receipts, cancellation, or refunds, use Lemon Squeezy billing. Never email card details or a license key.
Open Lemon billing →Try a new destination folder with free disk space and write permission. Avoid cloud-synced folders during troubleshooting. Failed or cancelled exports do not consume free exports.
Known beta limits
SmartScreen may show Unknown publisher. Verify the fingerprint on the download page before choosing “Run anyway.” Code signing is planned after early sales validate demand.
Local speech and speaker models download on first use. Progress depends on connection, disk, CPU, and GPU. Interrupted downloads can be retried.
Each source video can be up to 60 minutes. Split longer recordings before import. Paid tiers can remove the monthly source-minute cap, but not the per-file safety limit.
English transcription and UI have the strongest evidence. Other languages, 4K performance, and unusual codecs remain beta territory.
Local processing keeps media on your PC. Enabling an external scorer sends transcript text to the provider you choose; review that provider’s terms first.

Privacy first
Support may ask for a sanitized diagnostic bundle. It should contain version, hardware, settings flags, error codes, and timestamps—never your videos, transcripts, tokens, or keys.
No during local processing. Optional LLM scoring sends transcript text to the provider you select; video and audio remain local.
Paid purchases have a 14-day refund promise. Use the Lemon Squeezy receipt or billing portal so the merchant of record can process the request.
Windows 10/11 x64, local transcription, ranking, captions, and export within the published support matrix. macOS, Linux, mobile, and unverified codec/language combinations are not promised.
